What you buy
The price is the sum of these three. No markup, no labor line item: the labor is included in the price of the parts.
How to order
1 — Choose your shaft
Select your model, flex, and weight on the shaft page. Each option includes an explanation that is collapsed by default.
2 — State which head you have
The 'Which head do you have?' button opens the configurator: five steps, one at a time.
- Club
- Driver, fairway wood or hybrid, and your hand. Determines the standard length.
- Flex and weight
- The variant of your shaft.
- Grip
- Model and size.
- Adapter
- Brand and generation of your head.
Is your head not listed? Then we do not carry that adapter (yet).
- Finishing
- Length, tipping, grip build-up, grip logo, spine alignment. Everything is set correctly by default.
Length is a deviation from the standard length with a standard head. What your club actually plays depends on your head and hosel — and we do not know those.
3 — We are building
One clubmaker cuts, tips, glues, and grips your shaft by hand. Your head doesn't enter the workshop: you screw the shaft in yourself.

Flex and weight
Gewicht en flex horen bij elkaar en zitten al in het artikel: 65-S is een andere shaft dan 55-R, niet dezelfde shaft in een andere maat. R is soepeler dan S, S soepeler dan X. Flex is geen genormeerde maat — de S van het ene merk voelt niet als de S van het andere. Weet je wat je nu speelt, kies dat.
Tip diameter
De dikte van de shaft aan de kopzijde. Woods hebben .335 of .350, hybrides .370; de adapter voor jouw kop heeft dezelfde maat. Staat het niet op je huidige shaft, kijk op de sleeve of vraag het je clubmaker.
Tipping
Wij korten de shaft aan de kopzijde in, een halve of een hele inch. Dat maakt hem stijver zonder dat de flexcode verandert; het profiel schuift op. Wat wij per club adviseren staat bij de keuze. Het is onomkeerbaar en kan niet terug, dus twijfel je: geen tipping.
Grip build-up
Onder elke grip zit een laag tape. Wij leggen er nul tot vier extra onder, waardoor de grip stap voor stap dikker wordt. Dikker dempt de handen, dunner laat ze werken. Nul is standaard en past de meeste spelers; kies alleen anders als je weet dat je huidige grip te dun of te dik voelt.
Adapter
De adapter is de huls die de shaft aan jouw kop koppelt, en hij hoort bij één merk en één modelgeneratie. Kies eerst het merk van je kop, dan de generatie. Weet je de generatie niet: op de sleeve van je huidige shaft staat meestal het model, en anders het bouwjaar van je driver.
Spine alignment
Elke shaft heeft een spine: een richting waarin hij net iets stijver is. Bij spinen zoeken wij die op en zetten hem in het slagvlak, zodat de shaft bij elke swing hetzelfde buigt. Gratis, op verzoek. De opdruk van de shaft staat daarna waar de spine hem zet, niet per se boven.

How long does a custom shaft take?
One club maker builds everything by hand. Please allow [lead time] from the moment you place your order, even if we need to order the shaft for you first.
Can I buy a shaft separately?
No. Every shaft leaves as a custom-fitted shaft: cut to length, tipped, and complete with a grip and adapter for your head.
Does this fit my head?
Woods and hybrids come with the adapter for your club brand. If you are unsure of your model, just state which head you play, and we will find the right adapter for you.
